My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meredith is a sensitive cat who needs a calm, experienced home. She has anxiety around strangers and unfamiliar situations, and when she feels overwhelmed her anxiety can present as fear-based, defensive aggression (hissing, swatting). She is not aggressive by nature, but she requires patience, space, and respect for her boundaries.
Meredith does best in a quiet, adult-only home with an adopter experienced with anxious or reactive cats. She needs a predictable routine, minimal visitors, and slow, pressure-free interactions. She is not suitable for homes with children.
Meredith currently spends time outside during the daytime but stays within the yard and does not roam. An ideal home could offer a similar safe setup (secure yard, patio, or enclosure) or is willing to transition her carefully to indoor-only life.
This rehoming decision is being made with her long-term well-being as the priority. She needs someone who understands fear responses and is willing to give her time to feel safe
