Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Henry Whiskerton (Henry for short)
Henry Whiskerton is an adorable, chunky beefcake of a tabby with a heart just as big as his paws. He was found outside on the absolute coldest night of the year and thankfully brought indoors by a kind-hearted woman who knew he deserved better. Before his rescue, Henry had been surviving the Minnesota winter by ducking into the sewer system through street drains to stay warm. These days, he’s traded that tough outdoor life for cozy blankets, full bowls, and the luxury of being a spoiled indoor cat — and he has embraced it completely.
Henry is a sweet, lovable, fluffy boy with the tiniest baby meow. Truly, it does not match his impressive frame at all. He sounds like a little kitten crying, and it’s especially adorable when he uses his voice to remind you that dinner time is approaching (or already late, according to Henry). He’s an excellent eater and not picky at all, but he could stand to lose just a bit of his extra chunk, so portion control will be important in his forever home.
Henry is shy at first and can be startled by loud noises or fast movements. Once he feels safe, though, his affectionate personality really shines. Because of this, Henry would do best in a quiet, calm home without small children, where he can settle in at his own pace and build trust comfortably.
Affection is Henry’s love language once he warms up. He adores being pet, gives enthusiastic headbutts, and rubs against your legs to make sure you don’t forget about him. He’s learning the joys of couches and laps and is liking them more every day. He enjoys being picked up and held over your shoulder — as long as you’re scratching his neck and cheeks — but he does not appreciate being held like a baby with his belly up.
Henry is also discovering toys and has been proudly putting his former outdoor “hunter” skills to work chasing wand toys. He gets the zoomies and has plenty of playful energy, but at his core he’s just a big, gentle love bug.
He is very good with other cats and is quite submissive. If another cat approaches, Henry will simply flop down to show he means no harm. Because of his easygoing nature, he would likely enjoy having a friendly feline companion in his forever home.
If you’re looking for a soft, sensitive, affectionate tabby who just needs a calm environment and a little patience to truly blossom, Henry Whiskerton is ready to trade sewer grates for snuggles — and he can’t wait to meet you.

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
