My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Emma 🤍 — the Mama Who’s Ready to Be a Puppy

Emma’s story starts behind a dumpster on a busy Austin street, where this brave girl was found caring for her very young litter of puppies. Even though Emma was just a puppy herself—around a year and a half old—she stepped right into motherhood and did a truly beautiful job raising her babies.

Now that her puppies are grown, it’s finally Emma’s turn to be taken care of and to experience puppyhood for herself.

Despite everything she’s been through, Emma is incredibly loving, gentle, and loyal. She follows her foster mom like a little shadow and just wants to be near her people. She’s potty trained, crate trained, wonderful with kids, good with most other dogs, and even does well with cats.

Emma has the perfect balance of playful and cuddly. She loves zooming around the yard, chasing squirrels, and playing—but she’s just as happy curled up on the couch or snuggled in bed soaking up affection. She’s currently working on her manners and is eager to learn, making her a joy to train and bond with.

Emma is ready for a forever home where she can finally be the puppy she never got to be—loved, safe, and spoiled the way she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a heart of gold, Emma is your girl. 🐾💖

More about this rescue

Orphan Annie's Neonatal Rescue was founded by a licensed Pediatric and Neonatal Nurse Anesthesiologist and a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator. The founders are able to take their vast knowledge of saving human babies, and small mammals; and apply it to the very vulnerable orphaned kittens and puppies. At Orphan Annie's we take in the sickest, the smallest, the least likely to survive without our care. Every single animal we have for adoption has beat the odds. By the time they are available for their forever homes, we have months of our lives invested in these babies, and thus know everything there is to know about them. Our babies are hand-raised, so they are extremely friendly and eager to be a loving member of their forever homes.
