Hans is a sweet 7-9 month old small/med breed male intact mixed breed puppy (23 lb) who was presented to shelter after being hit by car on the freeway and he was critically ill. As a result of blunt force trauma from a vehicle, this puppy had lung contusions (bruises) that are healing, and a pneumothorax (air in chest cavity) that was treated and is resolving; the shelter medical team stabilized him and he is recovering perfectly. He is back to breathing normally and moving comfortably. No broken bones! Ambulating normally.
He is being placed on `needs rescue` due to shelter being critically over capacity; this puppy is also available for adoption. Friendly, slightly timid in shelter. He has been vaccinated, flea treated, and dewormed.
