My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wait a minute, Doc, are you telling me we have an adorable dog named Marty at the SF SPCA? Yes, we do! Marty is a 1-year-old Chihuahua mix recently transferred to us from Fresno Animal Center. This young pup has only been here a short time but has been friendly, confident, and curious throughout his time in our care.

Marty is looking for people who are ready to introduce him to the city a day at a time. He may not be raring to go everywhere on day one, but he`s happy to follow and learn from you at a good pace. He`ll show off on his walks with his friendly demeanor and sniff-vestigator skills. Come meet Marty today and take him back to the future: the future of having a loving home!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
