Meet Kia!

Kia is a 39-lb, 8-month-old cattle dog / doberman mix with a bright mind and an athletic spirit. She’s highly trainable and eager to learn, especially when she has a confident dog friend to show her the ropes. Kia would thrive in a home with a friendly, playful male dog who can be both a running buddy and a positive role model.

She does great in the car, walks nicely on leash, and loves people and other dogs. Like many smart adolescent pups, Kia can get excited by the world around her and may bark when she sees new things—she’s learning best when walked with other dogs and benefits from guidance and structure.

She’s active, curious, and ready to blossom with an adopter who enjoys outdoor activities, and helping a young dog build confidence.

Kia is looking for a home that will continue her training, provide regular exercise, and appreciate her intelligence and goofy charm. With consistency and companionship, she’s going to be an incredible partner!

Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time.
