Their adoption process

The first step in adopting through RCACP is to complete an Adoption Application at www.rcacp.org or in-person at our shelter.

Adoption fees:
• $20 Dogs/puppies
• $0 Cats/kittens

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. This may be done ahead of time online or in person during our adoption hours: Monday-Saturday between 1-4pm.
  2. Approve Application
    1. Online apps: 1-2 business days to approve
      In-Person: Typically, under 10 minutes
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. We offer scheduled and walk in meet and greets with an approved application.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Once you've picked a pet to adopt, there will be a small amount of paperwork. This typically takes less than 30 mins.
  5. Take the Pet Home
    1. We supply a collar and leash, toys, treats, and a small amount of transitional food to take home with you!
