Why I need a new home

Behavioral issues

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My father-in-law went into heart failure, was placed on life support, and ultimately had to move in with us. Prior to that, he lived alone on about 10 acres in Jonesburg, MO, and Sugar had been with him there.

Since then, we experienced a total loss house fire and were displaced from our home. During that time, we had to board Sugar for nearly a month. Since moving into our new home, she has been unable to adjust to the environment.

Unfortunately, Sugar has nipped at my wife, my brother-in-law, and two of our friends (all adults in their 30s - 50s). More concerning, she recently cornered two children under the age of 10. On Thursday, she cornered a 10-year-old boy twice.

Sugar is a good dog, and we truly love her. We have adopted and rescued all our dogs 2 of whom we still own too. However, we have a busy household, and it’s clear Sugar needs a much quieter environment, ideally a single owner or a couple she can build trust with.
