My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Katrina, and I’m a brown tabby with a soft heart and a quiet soul. 💛

I’m a little shy when we first meet, but please don’t mistake that for disinterest—I’m just learning that the world can be kind. I came to the shelter through one of your trusted TNR partners, and it’s possible I was left behind when my family moved away. Because of that, I’m still figuring out how to trust again.

With patience and gentle voices, I slowly start to come out of my shell. Once I feel safe, I’ll lean into your hand for pets, close my eyes, and reward you with sweet purrs. Those moments mean a lot to me—they’re how I say “thank you for giving me a chance.”

I’m looking for a calm, loving home where I can continue learning that I belong. If you’re willing to go at my pace, I promise I’ll meet you there with affection, gratitude, and a heart that’s ready to heal. 🐾

Could you be the one to help me feel at home again?

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
