Meet Tugger! Tugger is a cute little fur-ball with a big personality! This handsome boy has a goofy sense of humor and a smile that can brighten anyone’s day. At just 10 months old, he’s still in training but don’t worry, he’s just as smart as he is funny and is sure to graduate with flying colors.
Tugger is a terrier mix with a soft, cuddly coat, and when he gets excited, his little nub (where a tail was supposed to be) goes about 180 miles per hour! He’s full of energy, love, and enthusiasm for life.
He is current on all his shots and will be neutered before riding off into the sunset with his forever family. If you’re looking for a best buddy to join you on hikes, football Sundays, and backyard BBQs, look no further Tugger is your guy !!

HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
