Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lilac 🌸💜
Lilac is a 7-month-old pitbull puppy with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen—and she knows how to use it! This sweet baby is pure joy wrapped in a wiggly body, always happy, always excited, and always ready to make you laugh.
When she’s not soaking up love and affection, Lilac is busy showing off her legendary zoomies—the wild, happy kind that end with flopping over for cuddles. She’s playful, loving, and full of that wonderful puppy energy, but underneath it all she’s just a gentle, sweet girl who wants to be close to her people.
If you’re looking for a pup who will greet you with a grin every single day and fill your home with laughter, Lilac is ready to run (and zoom!) straight into your heart. 💕🐾

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
