Odin is a 3-year-old American Pit Bull with a big, blocky head, a goofy grin, and a heart that’s even bigger than he is. This lovable guy lives life at full speed and believes every day is the perfect day for zoomies, yard romps, and all-out fun.
As the certified life of the party, he can be a little rough and rowdy with his dog friends. A meet-and-greet is a must if you already have pups at home. Please bring them along so we can make sure everyone’s play styles are a good match.
Despite his energetic side, Odin has a soft, snuggly side that truly steals hearts. Once he’s gotten his wiggles out, he’s all about cuddles, leaning in close, and wagging his tail so hard his whole body gets involved. He’s also a total rockstar at bath time and even handles nail trims like a champ.

HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
