Named for their spicy attitudes when they first arrived, these three 2-month-old brothers have come a long way! They were found hunkered down in a woodshed, trying to keep warm in the winter weather. When they first arrived, they preferred their own company and weren`t so sure about humans.
But what a difference a little love makes! As they’ve grown a little more comfortable, their ears have perked up, they’ve started accepting treats, and they don`t mind saying hello to their favorite staff and volunteers. We know they’ll continue to move past their guarded beginnings (pictured last) until they’re nothing but little cuddle bugs vying for your attention.
The Prehistoric kittens are microchipped, vaccinated to age, and available for foster to adopt until they`re old enough to be neutered at The Babinski Foundation Animal Shelter. You can visit them at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

We strive to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.
The Babinski Foundation is a private 501c3 animal shelter located in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a safe place to surrender dogs and cats. We also are a stray drop-off facility for stray cats and dogs.
OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
