My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Delicata (Deli, for short)!
*application can be found at the end of the bio description.

Delicata is approximately 1-2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and ready for her forever home. Deli has been in the rescue for over 3 months now, starting as a very new mom with her 3 surviving babies. She is originally from Texas, where she sought out shelter under an outdoor church stage to give birth.

Deli was an extremely overbearing momma, so very protective and obsessed with her pups. She would not let us separate her from them and the days after her pup’s adoptions were some of the hardest days. But with a lot of patience, a lot of trust, some CBD, and crate training, Deli fell into an incredible routine and is now your perfectly imperfect house dog.

Deli has been in a foster home with 3 other dogs, 2 kids under 5 and has been on so many walks, hikes, and playdates with other dog and human friends. Obedience and inside manners are not perfect, she is a certified food stealer and thinks all toys are her toys, but none of that trumps how incredibly silly and loyal she is to her humans and her dog foster siblings.

Deli is 100% crate and potty trained, she is so extremely food motivated and will be incredibly fun and easy to train basic obedience and more. She is so smart and truly a one of a kind girl. We are open to all home dynamics, but are looking for homes with kids that are more dog experienced.

If you are interested in adopting this perfect girl, please fill out an application on our website, ww.outriderdogsrescue.com.

Thank you for choosing adoption!

More about this rescue

Outrider Dogs Rescue was established in 2019 as a foster based non profit dog rescue. Our mission is to find homes for abandoned and neglected dogs regardless of the age, breed, or temperament. We are a group of volunteers who spend their free time fostering, transporting, feeding, medicating, entertaining, training and loving dogs until a permanent family can be found. We specialize in helping pregnant or new moms that are dumped off in shelters or found roaming the streets, raise their litter, find forever homes, all whilst nourishing the mom, spaying her and finding her an adoptive home. In 2021 we started rescuing cats of all ages and breeds and will continue doing so as long as we are operating.
