Cody is a lucky boy with a story that makes him even more special. He was rescued from a homeless camp in Houston, TX, where many dogs do not get a second chance. Thanks to perfect timing and some kind humans, Cody made it out and has been thriving ever since.
Cody is around 10 months old and weighs about 49 lbs. He is truly the definition of a big puppy with an even bigger heart. He loves everything, food, treats, bones, toys. If you are sharing it, he is happy. He is crate trained, potty trained, walks great on leash, rides well in the car, and does awesome out in public. Bath time is no problem either.
He is a medium energy guy who loves to run laps in the yard, play with toys, and get his energy out with other dogs. Cody would prefer a home with other dogs and truly shines when he has canine friends to play with. He is very socially aware and respectful, even with senior dogs or more grumpy pups. With younger dogs, he is playful and energetic and loves to bounce around and have fun. He did well on his cat test and truly does not care about cats. He may sniff and then move along. While he has not been around kids yet, we truly believe he would do great with them given his gentle and happy nature.
Like most puppies, Cody still needs some supervision to avoid normal puppy antics, but he already has a solid foundation and settles well when it is time to relax. He can be a bit timid at times, is always submissive with other dogs, and is overall just a sweet, playful love bug who wants to be included and have fun with his people.
Cody would make an amazing addition to a family looking for a fun loving companion, a dog friendly pup, and a buddy for everyday adventures.
