Meet Rooster! This handsome 4-year-old Chocolate Lab is friendly, social, and does well with both people and other dogs. He enjoys car rides and is happy to join you on outings or daily routines. He has a solid foundation of basic training and knows sit, lay down, shake (he proudly “pays rent”), and kennel. He is still working on his leash manners and would benefit from continued guidance and consistency. He is learning how to play with toys and already knows how to fetch, which has been a great confidence builder for him. He does have one important boundary: he is uncomfortable with feet and would do best in a home that can respect this and provide appropriate management. With understanding and structure, he thrives as a loving companion. Overall, he’s a sweet, well-rounded lab looking for a patient, committed home to help him continue building confidence and skills. He requires a fenced in yard within an hour of Toledo, Ohio.

Toledo's PET Bull Project rescues dogs and puppies from our local community. Our mission is to Prevent animal cruelty and dog fighting in our community; to Educate on the importance of spay & neuter; and to Train people to be good advocates for their pet, whatever their breed.
Once you submit your application, it will be reviewed; vet and landlord checks, if applicable, will be done. If everything checks out, the application will be sent to the foster. The foster will then review it and will contact you to discuss said application.
