Banks is a high energy, lovable, 3-legged Border Heeler. He loves people, other dogs, and he LOVES balls. He is an expert at catch, loves to run, and loves to cuddle with his humans. When Banks was 2 years old, he lost one of his rear legs to an accident. However, it did not slow him down or dampen his spirits.
All of these amazing qualities also make it extremely hard for him to live in our family home with our young child. We are now expecting our second child, and we cannot keep up with Banks' needs. We want to find him a forever home where he can get plenty of exercise and be happy and cared for properly. Here are some elements to a great forever home for Banks:
- No young children
- Access to a large outdoor space (maybe a farm?!)
- A dedicated adult(s) that can maintain his training and exercise (no adults with traditional jobs where Banks would have extended time alone)
- Someone with experience with Border Heelers or other working dogs
- An experienced dog trainer
