Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Max! 🐾
Max is a 30 pound, 1 year old Lab mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. He was found as a stray in rough shape—severely underweight and missing much of his fur—but thanks to lots of care, patience, and love, Max has truly blossomed. He’s gained healthy weight and now sports a beautiful, shiny coat that matches his bright personality.
Max is crate trained and currently working on potty training. He’s also learning how to walk nicely on a leash and is making great progress. He loves toys and has the cutest habit of “talking” while he plays, which makes playtime extra fun.
Max has been fostered with dogs of all sizes, genders, and ages, and does wonderfully with everyone. Max absolutely loves to play with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine friend—or just an active family who enjoys playtime and companionship.
Max is a resilient, joyful pup who’s ready for a forever home where he can keep thriving and sharing his happy spirit. If he sounds like the perfect boy for you, apply to adopt him today!
Max is currently being fostered in Cincinnati, OH, and his adoption fee is $275.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue, Inc., non-profit and no kill, aims to alleviate the suffering of abandoned shelter animals by rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming them within our community.
We are proudly foster-based, meaning our animals live in homes, not shelters. This differentiates us and allows us to more thoroughly get to know our animals, ensuring they are matched with suitable, screened adoptive homes which meet our high standards.
As part of our commitment to the health and well-being of all of our animals and to reduce pet overpopulation in our community, every pet is spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
We are committed to ensuring the safety of our animals for their entire lifetimes so that they will never suffer abuse, neglect or abandonment again.
