My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caterpillar is a domestic shorthair calico female who is approximately 11 years old. Caterpillar requires a home where she is the only cat.

Meet Caterpillar, a truly special girl with a gentle soul and so much love to give. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate, though she can be a little shy at first. With patience and kindness, she blossoms into the most wonderful companion, happily soaking up attention.

Caterpillar has been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, which is currently very well managed with a once-a-month Solensia injection. She has been doing wonderfully on this pain management plan and remains comfortable, active, and engaged in her daily life. Thanks to this support, she still enjoys exploring her surroundings and moving about with confidence.

This lovely lady adores human attention, pets, and especially her catnip toys. One of her favourite things to do is roll around on the floor, often right in the middle of her catnip, showing off her belly and inviting admiration. Caterpillar would do best in a home where she is the only cat, allowing her to relax fully and enjoy being the center of attention.
If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate senior cat who will reward your patience with endless love and gentle companionship, Caterpillar may be the perfect match.

Caterpillar is spayed, fully vaccinated with RCCP and rabies, FIV and FeLV negative, microchipped, and on parasite prevention. Her adoption fee is $300. To adopt, please submit an adoption application found in the drop down menu on our website.

Additional adoption info

Most of our cats live in foster homes. Some are available to meet at satellite locations such as Pet Valu and Ren's Depot. A few foster homes are available to meet and greets at their home, or we also do meet and greets at request at our shelter prior to adoption. Most of these results in same day adoptions, and only take place after an adoption interview.
