Jericho’s journey hasn’t been easy. One morning, he was left in a carrier outside our door with neither note nor explanation. He was alone and scared, and protective walls began rising around him, growing higher by the second. Initially, Jericho’s walls involved a lot of defensive aggression. But with consistent patience, time, and love, those walls have started to crumble. And since he has made huge strides, Jericho is ready to look for his person.
Although he has come a long way, Jericho still tends to become overstimulated. When he’s had enough, he might grab or swat. Jericho isn’t being mean; he’s simply communicating the only way he knows how. An experienced adopter who understands feline body language and respects his boundaries will be key to Jericho’s continued success. Since he does well with other cats, we think he’d likely thrive in a home with another young, playful kitty. With a companion, Jericho can continue to build his confidence, and together, they can knock down a few more walls (hopefully, metaphorical ones).
Do you believe in second chances? Jericho doesn’t need a miracle—just someone patient, understanding, and willing to meet him where he is, not where they wish he’d be. If you’re experienced with cats who need a little extra love, Jericho just might be your guy. Fill out an adoption application today!

For an adoption fee of $150, you will take home a cat that has received the very best medical care and evaluation. Every cat that leaves Tabby’s Place has been thoroughly examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV, and treated for parasites.
We are currently offering two methods of adoption meetings:
1. Adopters can meet cats in person between 2-5PM daily. Appointments are strongly recommended, but we will make every effort to accommodate walk-ins where possible. Most cats and some select kittens are available for in-person meetings.
2. Adopters can meet cats and kittens via video meeting between 10:00AM-5:00PM daily by appointment only and subject to availability. Kittens in foster homes are only available for video adoption meetings.
Get started now by completing our online application. One or our adoption counselors will then contact you within 48 hours.
