If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Pete is a five-year-old Husky with striking light blue eyes and a light brown/reddish-brown and white coat. He came into our care after my grandmother took him in from an unhoused woman on the Nextdoor app who said she would return for him but never did. Wanting to keep him safe, my grandma stepped in, but due to her age and limitations, she’s unable to provide the level of care and activity a Husky needs.
Pete is an incredibly sweet, friendly, and affectionate dog. He “talks” a lot in true Husky fashion but rarely barks. He gets along very well with other dogs and is currently living peacefully with another dog. He is house-trained and is learning basic commands such as sit, stay, stand, and come.
