Meet Pigpen, a truly enchanting and delightfully round kitty who’s ready to fill your home with love and purrs! Don't let his name fool you – this handsome boy was just a little dusty when found, but he’s since aced bath time like a pro!
Pigpen is a quiet but confident cat who blossoms with a little patience. While he might start out a touch shy, the moment you bring out toys or treats, you’ll discover your new best friend. He’s an adventurer at heart, loving to explore new places and always up for a good play session. His small, stout build is packed with affection; he loves to crawl into laps and lean into every head pat and belly rub. You might even catch him being held like a baby, enjoying every moment!
This easy-going boy has a sweet, squeaky meow and a soft purr that will melt your heart. He’s brilliant with nail trims and handles new experiences like a champ. Loud noises might surprise him briefly, but he never hides for long. Pigpen is a playtime enthusiast, whether with you, another furry friend, or on his own with his favorite silvervine toys, wand toys, or anything he can bunny kick.
While he’d be happy as a solo cat, Pigpen has a "go with the flow" attitude and would thrive with cat or even dog companions. He’s already made positive impressions with other cats, proving his adaptable nature. And for a special treat, check out these videos of Pigpen; especially the one of him hilariously drinking water with his front paws on the bowl!

This cute, cuddly, and easy-to-please boy is ready to find his forever family. Come meet Pigpen and let his adorable charm steal your heart!
Pigpen is from a stray surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
