My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Poppy, the playful and energetic Cane Corso mix puppy. This sweet girl may be small in size, but she has a big personality that will steal your heart in an instant. Poppy loves spending time with humans and other dogs. At just under 1 year old, Poppy is still a puppy and has all the irresistible qualities that come with it. Despite her young age, she is already proving to be well-behaved and easy to train. With her good-with-dogs trait, Poppy is the perfect addition to any family with existing furry friends. Don't be fooled by her medium size, Poppy is a fearless and confident dog. With proper training and socialization, she will be a devoted companion to her human family. Whether it's a long walk or a game of fetch in the park, Poppy is always ready for some fun and adventure. In conclusion, Poppy is not just your average dog, she is a Cane Corso with a charming personality and an unmatched loyalty to her loved ones. With her good-natured and sociable demeanor, she is sure to bring endless love and joy to any household she becomes a part of.
Sadly while at CSU to be spayed, she was diagnosed with subaortic stenosis. She is a moderate case, they suggested to redo eco in 6 months, but no meds are needed yet.
Are you ready to welcome Poppy into your family and make her your new special furry best friend?

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
