Rhea and Phoebe are a cute bonded pair of 6 year old girls looking for a calm, loving home where they can blossom at their own pace. These two bring comfort to one another, so they must be adopted together.
Rhea is the shy sister. She's a quiet observer, who prefers a cozy hiding spot and watching from a safe distance. She loves to be anywhere near her sister. With patience and love, Rhea may slowly show that sweet side of her.
Phoebe on the other hand, is curious about her surroundings. Once she feels safe, she will make sure to explore every part of the house. She can still be shy like her sister, but will often build up the confidence and take lead. She sets a good example for her sister Rhea. She teaches her to still enjoy playtime with their favorite toys, like mice and balls.

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

More about this rescue
Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.
Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
