My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Griffin is an adult miniature schnauzer (19lbs) who was found and trapped as a stray with another dog.

He is estimated to be around 2 years old with a very sweet and fun personality. He loves affection and attention and wants to be in your lap or on the couch next to you. He likes lots of attention and time with his humans.

Griffin loves his kibble and any treats. He is crate trained and sleeps and stays in his crate when home alone. He is neutered, heartworm negative, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped.

Griffin is housebroken but has been caught marking when in new houses post-neuter. He will do best in a home with a fenced yard as he loves running in the yard and taught himself how to use the bells to indicate he wants to go outside within a couple of days of watching other pups do it. He becomes very fearful on a leash and will need to work on this. If his new forever home doesn’t have a yard, he will need patience to learn to walk on a leash and mindfulness as he is a flight risk. Griffin is still pretty new to stairs, but is getting better daily.

Griffin is a very cool, energetic dog who is looking for a loving family to shower him in love and attention. He’s smart and very trainable. He will need good discipline and structure to prevent bad behaviors as he has demonstrated some resource guarding (food and kennel space) and guarding his favorite human.

Griffin is being fostered in Miamisburg, Ohio.
