My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Koa is a sweet, playful boy with a heart as big as his curiosity. He loves being part of whatever you're doing and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. Smart and observant, he's always tuned in and ready for the next adventure. Playtime is Koa's love language. Tug of war is his absolute favorite, and he enjoys daily walks and good, energetic play sessions. Chew toys are a must for this fun loving guy. But above all else, Koa lives for affection, pets are his number one joy in life, and he'll happily curl up in your lap or snuggle right beside you on the couch to soak up every bit of love. Koa is wonderful with kids; he's gentle, patient, and enjoys watching them play. He does need to be the only dog in the home, where he can shine as the loyal, devoted companion he's meant to be. If you're looking for a loving, attentive, playful best friend who will always be by your side, Koa might just be your perfect match. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Koa is s participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.January 6, 2026, 9:18 pm

More about this rescue

Our goal is to save dogs at the local shelters in the Dallas \ Fort Worth Metroplex from euthanasia and adopt them to the public. We spay / neuter these dogs as well as provide all necessary medical care. We also educate the public about responsible pet ownership. We love dogs and our goal is to reduce / eliminate euthanisias being done in this area by shelters due to overcrowding.
