Hunter — Athletic, Curious, and Full of Adventure
Meet Hunter, a striking brown-and-white tabby with an exotic, angled face and a lean, athletic build that perfectly matches his name. Rescued from the streets of Qatar, Hunter brings confidence, curiosity, and a whole lot of personality into every room he enters.
True to form, Hunter is an athlete and playful explorer extraordinaire. Toys are his passion — especially his beloved toy basket, which he proudly rummages through daily to select the perfect item for playtime. Wand toys, balls, crinkles… if it moves, he’s interested. He also loves vertical space and will happily climb to the highest possible perch to keep an eye on things (and keep you on your toes).
Hunter isn’t a hiding cat at all — he prefers to be right in the middle of the action, investigating what you’re doing and sharing space nearby. Earning his trust takes time, but toys, food, and especially churros are excellent ways to his heart. Because of his street past, Hunter is hand-shy and prefers not to be touched from the front. Once trust is built, he’ll happily accept pets from behind — and his foster has seen wonderful progress. After a few months, he will occasionally sleep on the bed and has even started enjoying some special lap time.
Hunter is wonderfully social with other cats and must be adopted with another playful feline companion. He’s respectful of all cats, but truly thrives with a buddy who enjoys high-energy, rough-and-tumble play.
A special note about Rosie:
Hunter’s favorite playmate is Rosie, who traveled here from Turkey. They share the same play style, energy level, and mutual respect — making them a fantastic potential pair for adoption together. While Hunter would do well with any playful cat, adopting him and Rosie as a duo could be a wonderful option for the right home.
With patience, consistency, and respect for his boundaries, Hunter continues to blossom. He’s a fun, curious character with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a trust that’s deeply rewarding to earn.
If you’re looking for an active, engaging companion — and you believe the best relationships are built, not rushed — Hunter just might be your perfect match.
