Meet Muffin — a gentle little sweetheart with a story as soft as her name.
On a cold, snowy night, a tiny meow broke the silence. A frightened but hungry young cat was kneading the snow for comfort, gathering the courage to approach a bit of food that her finder offered her. No one ever came forward to claim her, but she was finally safe, vetted, and given the name that fits her perfectly: Muffin.
Muffin is about 2–3 years old and incredibly sweet. She isn’t the biggest fan of being picked up just yet, but with patience and a loving home of her own, she may grow more comfortable over time. What she does love is making biscuits on her soft, fluffy bed and curling up inside her cozy shark hut where she feels secure.
She would thrive in a quiet, calm home without small children, where she can settle in at her own pace. Muffin is also a bit of a door runner, so her new family will need to keep a close eye on entrances and exits.
She has a healthy appetite, no known medical issues, and a heart full of love just waiting for the right person.
Muffin is ready for a safe, gentle home where she’ll never have to be cold, scared, or alone again. All she wants is love — and a family to call her own.

We require applicants to have a vet.
Cats are to be indoors ONLY.
We do not allow declawing.
Adoption fees may vary depending on the breed of cat or the age - a standard adoption fee is $70.00.
Cats are FIV/FeLV tested, given vaccines, altered, de-wormed, and have a flea treatment as well.

One by One has two adoption centers located inside the Wyomissing and Temple PetSmart stores.
A volunteer is there generally on Saturday and Sunday from 11-2pm.

Cats live with foster families as a real part of their family and are well socialized to a home enviroment. One By One is dedicated to helping adoptable housecats to find new and loving homes.
