My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Parker.  2026 did not start out very well for me.  My new year was actually very scary.  My family put me in a plastic crate and left me in the middle of a field in a park in Nashville.  It was almost dark.  I did not know what to do.  Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something moving.  They were a long way away, so I started barking.  Thank goodness that Mr. John and Miss Annie decided to go for a run just before the sun set.  They heard my plea and ran up to me immediately.  Before I knew it, they picked up the crate, and we were in the car.  I was still wondering what would happen to me.  Then I realized I was at their house.  They gave me a nice warm bath, some time to eat, and a nice warm crate to lie in.   It wasn’t long before I realized I was safe, and I fell asleep.  While I was asleep, John and Annie were working to ensure I would now be safe and loved for the rest of my life.  Enter Critter Cavalry and Miss Vivienne.  Miss Peggy agreed to foster me.  Their vet agreed to see me first thing the next morning, and Miss Gail agreed to groom me after that.  Now I am a new man.  I am back to my handsome self and loving life with Miss Peggy.  I have other small dogs to hang out with and play with, and lots of love to share with her.  In only a day, things turned from tragic to terrific.  I am now ready to complete my journey from rags to riches.  I am ready to find my forever home.  I hope that will be with you.  I am a super sweet and very loving gentleman.  I love people and am great with other dogs.  I also do not mind cats.  I am crate-trained and housebroken.  I am learning how to use a doggie door so that I don’t have to bother anyone when I have “to go”.  I also walk well on a leash and ride like a champ in the car.  I am a great little 10-year-old guy who only weighs 11 lbs.  Please help me complete my journey by giving me the loving home I so deserve.  Make 2026 the best year ever for me.  I will make the years to come great for you with all the love I have to share. To be considered for my forever family and to request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Parker is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
