Freckles has come a long way since coming into foster care, and it’s been really rewarding to watch him grow. He’s still working on potty training and leash manners, but he’s doing much better and continues to improve with consistency and guidance.
He still has some puppy playfulness left in him and can get wound up at times, but he responds well to verbal commands and is a very quick learner. Now that he’s discovered toys, he almost always has one nearby and loves chewing and chasing them around the house. He’s much more relaxed than when he first arrived and far less anxious. Freckles is a sweet, affectionate boy who bonds closely with his person — with continued training, he’s going to make an incredible companion dog. He is also doing well with respectful kids.

Walks okay on leash (still learning but eager!)
Not destructive… unless you count his mission to steal all socks & slippers

Housebreaking: Freckles needs someone to go outside with him at first because he worries about being abandoned. With time and consistency, he’ll learn he can do his business and people won’t disappear.
Vocal Player: Freckles gets excited and can start growling, barking, or talking during play — he responds well to corrections but needs someone confident and not intimidated by his vocal style.

🐾 Adoption Info:
All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption.
Our requirements are non-negotiable and include the following:
All current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, unless there is a documented medical exemption with veterinary confirmation.
All current dogs must be up to date on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations.
All current dogs must be on consistent, consecutive heartworm prevention.
Past dogs listed on the application must also show a consecutive history of heartworm prevention.
