Nanashi is a super sweet guy who wants nothing more than to be someone’s special guy, eat snacks and snuggle! He is wicked smart but also a little shy so isn’t looking to be the life of any parties. He would love to keep you company while you work from home or would be happy to wait until after you come home from work, he really isn’t picky. Your serious inquiry into co-creating a forever-life with one of our cats or dogs in fostership means we have a due diligence process.

We appreciate you + we love our animals. Please be patient as this may take a few business days to check all personal + vet references.

Meet the Pet

We are a 100% foster-based organization so a day/time is coordinated with our amazing foster to meet the animal that caught your eye.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our contracts are digital + sent from our software database.

5.
Pay Fee

We have several options for you to help us continue our work in matching animals with their forever family units.

At this time, Familiar Hearts Animal Society meetings are by appointment only.

We currently rely on our amazing web of generous fosters throughout the Philadelphia area and will do our best to make a meeting as convenient as possible for both human + animal.

Meetings will need to be coordinated through the foster of the animal you are interested in meeting.

Mission Statement: To end the unnecessary suffering of homeless companion animals by serving as a refuge and enabling humans to provide them quality and compassionate homes.

Our Vision: Our mission is two-fold; we want to help abandoned pets and we want to help stop pet abandonment.

We operate using a network of kind hearted hands to help find homeless animals veterinary and behavior care and then match them with appropriate forever homes. We also strive to educate pet owners about resources they might utilize in order to best understand how to provide for their friends with furry paws, feathers or claws. We always do our best to help.
