My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We rescued Giggle and her litter mates out of a homeless encampment after their owner sought rescue assistance with them. We kept the litter together and they left mom dog at 6 weeks of age. Puppies will be 8 weeks old on January 11th which would be their go home date. Giggle can be visited in her foster home in the meantime.

- Approximate date of birth: 11/15/25

- Possibly Pit Bull/Boxer mix

- 4 pounds on 1/6/26 and likely to be around 50 pounds full grown. We cannot guarantee size at maturity and are only giving a best estimate.

Giggle's foster mom says:

"She is very sweet and calm, following my young son around like an actual shadow. She ADORES our kids. She is going to be an extraordinary family dog."

We prioritize adoptive homes committed to training and socializing our young, adoptable puppies. Our goal is NOT to get them returned to us as adolescents or adults with no training or socialization. We truly hope that you plan to take your new puppy out to safe environments to gradually expose them to new sights, sounds, smells, people and novel things. We would ask that you please enroll in a puppy manners class and basic obedience before 6 months of age. Young puppies are little sponges for learning and waiting until they are older to socialize and train can impact their temperament as adult dogs.

Please be ready to lose some sleep, as bringing home a new puppy is similar to bringing home a new baby.

Giggle will have had two rounds of puppy vaccines and dewormer at the time of adoption. Her adoption fee includes a microchip, spay surgery at our vet between 6 months to 1 year of age and a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland.

Additional adoption info

We are a volunteer run organization and try our best to return correspondence promptly, however sometimes there are delays. We appreciate your patience.

The first step to meeting one of our dogs is to fill out an adoption application at www.agavedogs.com.

Once we receive your adoption application we will call you to discuss what dog might be the best match for you. We will connect you with the foster home who has the dog you are interested in adopting. Once you meet the dog, let us know if it is a love match and if you would like to adopt the dog. We will email you an adoption agreement to complete and return.

Our adoption fees range from waived entirely to $550 depending on the dog, age, breed and it's behaviors. Our work to save dogs is supported by our adoption fees and donations. Enjoy your new dog and please don't hesitate to contact us with questions or updates. We love happy photo updates!

Go meet their pets

All of our dogs are in foster homes that help them to learn to be good house guests. Our foster dogs thrive in a home environment rather than a scary shelter where they would become stressed. Plus we gain lots of good information about the dog's personalities in a foster home setting.

All foster homes are located within 45 minutes of Portland, Oregon. Once we receive your adoption application and chat with you, we will provide you the foster home's contact information that has the dog you're interested in meeting.
