Tina’s story is a tough one, but it’s also full of heart. This sweet girl was found tied to a pole in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles, pregnant and suffering from a bad case of demodex mange. She had clearly been through more than any dog ever should, but once she was safe with us, Tina showed just how much love and strength she had to give!
Not long after arriving at the rescue, Tina gave birth and proved to be a wonderful, devoted mama to her babies. She took care of them beautifully, and now that her pups have grown up and headed off to their own homes, it’s finally Tina’s turn to be someone’s priority.
Tina is about 3 years old and weighs around 19 pounds. She’s a gentle, affectionate girl who loves being close to her people and will happily follow you from room to room just to keep you company. She has a naturally sweet and curious nature, and once she feels safe, her personality really shines. She does well with other dogs, especially calmer, easygoing companions who are happy to lounge and relax alongside her.
While Tina is generally more of a cozy, laid-back kind of gal, she still has a playful spark. Every so often, she’ll surprise you with a burst of zoomies or a sudden interest in play, reminding you that she’s still young and full of life. She does still have some thin or bald patches left over from her demodex, but her skin continues to improve, and her coat may continue to fill in with time.
After everything she’s endured, Tina is ready for a home where she can feel secure, loved, and truly cherished. She is an incredibly endearing little dog who gives so much affection in return, and she deserves a future that’s soft, stable, and full of kindness. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart Tina may be your girl! Interested in giving her the happy ending she’s been waiting for? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
