Giuseppe is a charming little guy, estimated to be around 3 years old and weighing about 17 pounds. He was found as a stray and brought to a local shelter, where it quickly became clear that he deserved a chance beyond the shelter walls. They reached out to us, and we were happy to welcome him into our rescue so he could start the next chapter of his life in safety and comfort.
From the moment Giuseppe arrived, he showed us just how sweet and gentle he is. He can be a little shy at first, especially in new situations, but it doesn’t take long for his true personality to come out...especially if treats are involved! When snacks appear, Giuseppe turns into a tiny acrobat, popping up on his hind legs and doing joyful little hops that never fail to make us laugh. It’s his signature move, and it perfectly captures his silly, endearing nature.
Giuseppe does great with other dogs and enjoys being part of a pack, whether that means playtime or just relaxing nearby. He loves people too and bonds quickly once he feels safe. He’s very food-motivated and eager to please, which makes him a wonderful candidate for continued confidence-building and training in a loving home.
At his core, Giuseppe is a soft-hearted, affectionate boy who just wants to belong. Home Check
We will come out to make sure your home is safe for a Pug; if you live out of area we can do the home check via Skype or FaceTime.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
You can make an appointment to come pick out a Pug or you can also do that at one of our events (see our event page on website).
Additional adoption info
We require an application either online through our website or in person at our facility or one of our events. Once we receive the application we will schedule a home visit. After approval, you are eligible to adopt any available dog. Our fees range from $75 - $550 depending upon age. $550 would be for a pure pug puppy (which we rarely get), $75 would be for our senior for senior program. Full price list available on our website.

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities.
