Squash is a sweet, snuggly puppy, one of 10 chubby siblings who came to PAWS after a family pet's unplanned pregnancy.
They were born in September of 2025, so they're still young and learning and ready to discover all the wonders out there beyond our shelter gates.
Squash is about 20 pounds now but we anticipate he and his siblings will eventually grow into larger dogs. Right now, he's a bit of a blank slate -- all curiosity and potential and eager to learn and please. Adopting a puppy is not for the weak of heart, though it is a chance to grow and learn together, and write your rescue story right from the beginning. If you love the idea of raising exactly the dog you want to have in your life, Squash is here for it, friend.
This little chunk loves being held and snuggled and walked. And, if you can pick up some plushy toys with those little squeakers in them, that would just about make his whole year.
The puppies have just started going for walks (they couldn't until they had their vaccine boosters), so they're all just beginning their housetraining. We can help guide you into a strong routine -- with plenty of walks/potty breaks and praise/treats when they do their business outside -- to help them learn to potty outdoors.
