Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Izzy! Izzy will be sure to make you dizzy when you see how beautiful those big, brown eyes are! Izzy loves to be loved and will let you know that she wants more. She's a big sweetie that sometimes doesn't realize she's not a lap dog. In her mind, she's a tiny, little thing. Izzy gets very excited when it's time to cuddle and play because oh boy is that her two favorite things in the world to do. She was originally adopted back in 2021 and sadly had to return to our care when her owners became ill and could no longer provide for her. She successfully lived with children in their home; however, we still encourage everyone in the family coming to meet before bringing anybody home! Izzy has been around dogs and cats before and may do well in a home with them again, given the appropriate introductions. Dog-savvy kids would be the best fit for her. If you think Izzy is the gal for you, come dahn and meet her today!

Additional adoption info
We invite you to visit the shelter locations and meet the animals and the adoption team!
Our adoption process is aimed at matching you, your family and your current pets with our animals for adoption. An adoption counselor will introduce you to our animals in a private meeting room. We will share information about the animal's medical and behavioral needs as well as their history.
When you find the right pet for you and your family, the adoption counselor will assist you in completing the proper paperwork. This process includes signing an adoption contract, reviewing medical history and providing proper pet care information.
What you will need in order to adopt:
A valid photo ID with your current address.
We recommend all members of the household meeting the animal before adopting.
If you are interested in adopting a dog and have other dog(s) living in your household, it is recommended that all dogs meet each other at the shelter.
Certain animals require additional steps or requirements.
Adoption fee is accepted in cash or credit/debit card. Checks, American Express, Discover, Care Credit are not accepted as payment.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not able to place a hold or accept a deposit for animals that are not available for adoption, that you have not done a formal meet and greet with, or over the phone. Adoptions are approved for the first qualified home. Adoption is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh.
