Saela is a stunning gray tabby kissed with soft orange highlights — a little work of art with the gentlest heart. Though still a baby, she’s already spayed and ready to start her forever chapter.
She came from a neighborhood trapping project where kind residents had been feeding a colony of outdoor cats. They reached out for help so everyone could be fixed and cared for — and thanks to their compassion and regular human contact, several cats turned out to be friendly, not feral. Saela was one of the lucky ones.
When she first arrived, she was nervous but sweet, allowing soft pets even while unsure. A few days later, her mama Zadie was trapped and reunited with her, and everything changed. Saela relaxed, felt safe, and began to blossom.

We’re thrilled you’re considering giving one of our cats or kittens a loving forever home! Here’s what to expect during the adoption process:
📋 Adoption Application & Contract
To ensure the best match for both you and our cats, we require:
Adoption Application – Helps us understand your home, motivation for adoption, and expectations as a pet owner.
Adoption Contract – Includes an indoor-only and no declawing clause, as well as a Vet Promissory Note to ensure continued veterinary care and spay/neuter follow-through (if applicable).
🌍 Adoption Area
We do not adopt out of state, except on a case-by-case basis near the North Carolina border.
💸 Adoption Donations
Your donation helps us continue rescuing and caring for cats in need:
Unaltered kittens – a minimum donation of $120.
(Includes vaccine series, deworming, and medical care. Adopter is responsible for spay/neuter and rabies vaccine once age-appropriate. We can recommend low-cost vet services.)
Spayed/Neutered cats – a minimum donation of $140
Bonded pairs – a minimum donation of $200
Career/Barn cats – a minimum donation of $25
🏡 Additional Requirements
Meet & Greet is required to ensure a good match—please bring the whole family!
In some cases, we may require a home inspection or rental verification.

Billy the Kidden Rescue is a VDACS-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2014 and supported by a network of over 60 active foster homes across Hampton Roads.
Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce the feral cat population in our community by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens—transforming them into loving, adoptable pets and placing them in safe, forever homes.
