Chance is eligible for our Seniors for Seniors Adoption Program. If a Senior Citizen adopts Chance, we will waive the adoption fee and offer a 20% discount on all future vet services, food, etc. Come and meet this sweet guy if you are looking for a companion.
Chance was found near Ameris Park before Christmas and no one has come forward to claim him or reported him as missing. So, this senior sweetheart is looking for a forever home. Can you help?
ABOUT ME: I'm a friendly and social guy and really enjoy going for walks and playing. I'm very good on the leash and don't pull at all. I'd love to have a fenced backyard of my own to run around in and wouldn't mind going with you in the car to run some errands. That sounds like a lot of fun. I might be a little slow to warm up to new people, but I love people! I don't mind getting toenail trims and am a very good boy when the doctor takes care of me. My skin is a little itchy but I got a shot for that which really helped. I may be deaf but that doesn't slow me down in the least. I love eating my wet food, but don't love kibble too much ~~ unless you can find a really yummy food that I will like, of course! I am just looking for a really good home and some people to love, a couple of comfy beds and cool toys. I'd even like another friendly dog to play and hang out with. I don't know what cats are yet because I haven't been around them.
MEDICAL: Chance is healthy, current on vaccines/vet services and bloodwork, has a negative fecal test and heartworm test.
His adoption fee is $145 and includes a month of Simparica Trio (for heartworms, fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites) to go home with him. Chance should remain on heartworm and flea/tick prevention for life to keep him happy and healthy.
If you have space in your heart and home for an exceptional boy, come and meet Chance today and see if he would be a good fit for your family. Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic, 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Please visit at least two hours prior to closing. Monday to Friday 630AM to 7PM, Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 4PM. Our goal is to find good homes for all of the sick and injured pets we have, and to adopt them out in the best health possible. Each pet is fully vetted and cared for by our amazing Veterinary Staff! Our adoption fee is $130, which includes a spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccines, and a microchip. We offer a two week trial period, during which time you may return the pet for a full refund if the placement does not work out. We will accept a pet back after two weeks, but no refund will be issued. If a pet is returned after a longer time period we may require a $130 relinquishment fee. We do not perform home visits or have any particular adoption requirements, such as fenced yard. We do, however, reserve the right to turn down potential adopters if we feel like it will not be in the best interest of the pet.

More about this rescue
Our Stray Program began in 1988, with one dog named Redman. He was rescued by a client who indicated that he had belonged to a homeless man. The man had since disappeared, and the red Chow was ill and now living on his own. We brought him to our Clinic and named him Redman. He tested heartworm positive, was treated for that condition and was also neutered. One of our Veterinarians fell in love and adopted him. Unfortunately, Redman did not live long due to heartworm disease, but enjoyed several great years with his new owner. It was because of Redman that our Stray Program for sick and injured animals came to fruition. We began a fund to support the Program and, since then, have found many sick and injured pets their forever homes! Thanks to Dr. Joe Gaston, we are able to continue our work to help sick and injured strays, and have the opportunity to give back to our pet community!
