Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾💙 Meet Joey! 💙🐾
Joey is a small, adorable male mixed breed, and we believe he’s a Dachshund mix, possibly with a little terrier sprinkled in — which perfectly explains his playful energy and big personality! Weighing in at about 14 pounds, Joey is the perfect size for both adventures and cuddle time.
Joey’s estimated birthday is 4/20/2025, making him a young, fun-loving pup with lots of life ahead of him. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is scheduled for his neuter at Auglaize Animal Hospital in Wapakoneta, which will be fully covered by the rescue.
This sweet boy does good with most other small dogs, but he is dominant 🐕💨 Joey is full of energy when it’s playtime, but once he’s worn out, he’s more than happy to curl up and cuddle with his people.
Joey can be a little vocal when meeting new people. He usually barks at first, but don’t let that fool you — he warms up very quickly, usually within a minute or two, and then he’s ready to be your friend. ❤️
He would be an excellent fit for a home with kids, as he absolutely loves children and enjoys being part of the action. Joey hasn’t been with the rescue very long, so he’s still working on potty training and will need a patient family willing to continue helping him learn — he’s young, eager, and catching on more every day.
If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, playful pup who will keep you laughing, running, and snuggling, Joey might be the perfect addition to your family. 🐶✨
