My name is Zena!

We ended up adopting Zena from a friend who had taken in a stray which ended up being pregnant. We already had a small dog and cat which had both been adopted and get along great. We thought a new kitten would be fine. Zena was very timid and scared of everyone when we first brought her home of course, but eventually warmed up to me and the dog. Zena is sweet and likes to be pet, but not picked up. She follows me around for her good morning strokes. She likes to lay with my dog sometimes and the dog tolerates it. Our cat Kiki has never been okay with the new cat. There has always been lots of hissing and growling and some small fights. I tried getting the plug in pheromones and that did seem to help a bit. At one point in the first year I thought it may not work out because my original cat Kiki was puking from stress. Things seemed to have died down a bit, but now Zena has started to pee on our couch and I just don’t see things getting any better. She is still a bit of a scaredy cat.
