Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Casey is a beautiful 4-year-old female mixed-breed with a striking bi-color coat and soulful eyes that soften as she begins to trust you. She and her siblings were born as an accidental litter and spent the first four years of their lives together in the same loving home. Due to changing life circumstances—and through no fault of her own—Casey now finds herself looking for a fresh start at the shelter.
At first, Casey may take a moment to warm up, but once you spend time with her, her playful personality starts to shine. When she knows you’re a friend, her goofball side comes out and she’s happy to romp around, play, and enjoy your company. She truly loves people and attention, eagerly seeking out affection in the form of pets—and returning the love with plenty of happy licks.
Casey does well with other dogs and has shown relative indifference to them so far, though we think she may become more playful with canine companions once she’s settled into a home. She also does well with cats and kids, making her a wonderful candidate for a variety of households.
Her favorite pastimes include chewing on bones or toys, zooming around outside, and exploring her surroundings. While she has a bit of an independent streak, it’s simply because she’s a curious girl who enjoys discovering the world around her.
Casey would thrive in any loving home looking to add a happy, curious, and affectionate companion to the family. If you’re ready to give this sweet girl the second chance she deserves, Casey is ready to meet you!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
