My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Otis 🐾

NEW YEARS ADOPTION SPECIAL $26.

Otis is a handsome black-and-white (tuxedo-ish) gentleman, about 4 years old, with a heart full of love and a gentle soul that truly shines once he knows he’s safe.

Neutered and vaccinated, Otis has learned to trust and has blossomed into an absolute sweetheart with people. He’s now living comfortably inside his foster home, enjoying the warmth and security of indoor life—especially his cozy sunroom, which he loves.

Otis thrives on human attention and enjoys being close to his person. He also has a playful side and may engage in gentle play-biting—never biting down, just grabbing your hand in a playful, affectionate way when he’s feeling silly.

He does well with friendly, respectful dogs who won’t chase him. His experience with other cats is unknown, as the resident cat hasn’t been welcoming, so Otis may do best as an only cat or with a slow, thoughtful introduction.

Otis is FIV-positive, which simply means he needs to live indoors and receive routine veterinary care. He’s already thriving in his foster home with soft beds, toys, treats, and lots of love. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, normal lives and make wonderful companions.

✨ New Year’s Special Adoption Fee: Just $26 ✨

Otis is available for adoption through Lifeline Cat Rescue and Network, Inc.
He’s ready to begin his next chapter—with a forever home and someone to love. ❤️

A meet and greet can be set up with his foster.

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, FIV/FeLV combo test, dewormer, flea treatment, age appropriate vaccines, and microchip. Lifeline Cat Rescue is a private 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on donations and volunteers. Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All of our cats are cared for in devoted foster homes.

When adoptable, most go to PetSmart on Feedwire Rd in Centerville or to PetSmart on Miamisburg-Centerville Rd by the Dayton Mall. Their bio will indicate where they're located, and if they're in a PetSmart, you can go to meet them.

If they're in a foster home, we are happy to arrange a meeting with an approved application.

More about this rescue

We are a no kill, foster-based rescue in Dayton, OH, that specializes in taking the most at risk cats and kittens from our local community. Many of our cats come in as strays and we provide them with all necessary vetting to get them adoption ready. Until then, they live with us in our homes where they receive dedicated attention and care.

We are all volunteers who live and work in your local community!

We have a motto that we live by: It Takes a Village! And that village always needs new members, so please consider donating to, adopting from, or simply sharing our cause.
