Uncle Frank is a quiet, reserved boy who has had a rough start in life and is still learning that the world, and people, can be safe. Because of his past, he is a very shy and sensitive cat who needs time, consistency, and understanding to begin building trust. Uncle Frank is currently in foster care, where he can decompress and adjust at his own pace.
Uncle Frank is not a cat who will seek attention or affection at this point. His future adopter should expect that they may not see him often at first, and that touching or handling him may take a long time, possibly months or even longer. He will need a calm, predictable environment and a caregiver who is patient and respectful of his boundaries.
He is best suited for an experienced cat owner, ideally someone who has worked with fearful or undersocialized cats before. Uncle Frank needs someone who is committed to putting in the time without expectations, allowing trust to develop naturally.
Uncle Frank must go to a home with another friendly, confident cat. Having a feline companion is essential for him, as another cat can help model positive behaviors and show him that his surroundings are not so frightening.
For his safety, Uncle Frank must be an indoor-only cat. Under no circumstances can he go to a home where he would have outdoor access.
Uncle Frank is looking for a special kind of home, one built on patience, empathy, and unconditional care. With love and time, he has the potential to grow more comfortable and confident. Helping Uncle Frank feel safe and secure will be a quiet but deeply meaningful journey for the right adopter. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 3.054 Age: 4yrs 1mths 1wks
