My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fireball – The Confident Socialite! If you’re looking for a `ready-made` family member, Fireball is your girl! As one of a litter of six raised by a doting human since she was a tiny newborn, she is exceptionally well-adjusted and truly believes every human and animal she meets is her new best friend. Her `A+` Resume: The Ultimate Roommate: She is a social superstar—great with other cats and wonderful with children. She’s the kind of kitten who wants to be in the middle of whatever the family is doing. The `Vibe`: She is a high-energy `climb enthusiast.` If there is a high shelf or a tall cat tree, she will find it! She’s full of spunk and will keep you laughing with her playful zoomies. Affection Level: Expert. She absolutely loves to be petted and will purr the second you pull out a brush. Grooming time is her favorite time of day. Fireball is looking for a home that can match her energy and give her plenty of vertical space to explore.

Double the Trouble, Twice the Purrs! ????? Why settle for one superstar when you can have the ultimate dynamic duo? Fireball and Chonies were raised together by hand since they were newborns, these two are a `ready-made family` in a box. They are perfectly synced, high-energy, and ready to turn your home into their personal playground.

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

*The shelter is currently open for adoptions by appointment only. Please email us at adoptycas@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting.
For other shelter services, please call us at (530) 668-5287*

To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).

If you have any other questions, please go to www.yolocountysheriff.com or call the shelter for more information.
