Jax is an 11-year-old black, long-haired cat with a calm, gentle nature and a huge heart. He is deeply affectionate and loves being near his people (usually within arm’s reach) and is almost always purring or making sweet little chirping sounds when he’s happy.
He is wonderful with children. When our daughter was a baby, Jax would come get us if he heard her wake up, and now that she’s older he still checks on her, often sleeping at the foot of her bed. He is nurturing, intuitive, and very loving.
Jax is a relaxed, lowkey indoor cat who isn’t interested in jumping on counters, climbing curtains, or getting into trouble. He enjoys a calm home and would be perfect for someone looking for a quiet companion to keep them company on the couch. He occasionally enjoys a stroll in the backyard but is not suited for outdoor life.
He is currently an only pet, so we’re unsure how he does with other animals. Rehoming him is a heartbreaking medical necessity due to severe asthma. Contact for more
