My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Freddie! Freddie was brought to us after her and three other cats were found wandering around an apartment complex. She had a collar on and was already spayed, but despite our efforts to find an owner, no one ever came to claim her. She can be a little shy and loves to have somewhere to hide. Yummy treats and a hiding spot are surefire ways to win Freddie over. She does like other cats with a slow, cautious introduction. If you have the space in your home and heart to give her her second chance, come meet Freddie today!

By adopting nationally recognized best practices for animal shelters, AFHS has been successful in increasing its overall save rate and hit a record high of 94% in 2020. Assisting over 5,000 pets each year, AFHS is committed to providing individual care to local pets in need. As Butler County’s largest and oldest 501(c)3 non-profit animal shelter, AFHS is always in need of community support to continue its lifesaving mission.
