My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Scribble - a sleek grey mystery with strong "observe from a distance" energy.

Scribble doesn't rush into friendships. He prefers to take his time, study the situation, and decide if you're worthy of his trust. But here's the secret: lickable treats and catnip are his love language. Come prepared, and you'll see that cautious exterior melt into a curious, sweet companion who's quietly thrilled you're around.

Once Scribble comes out of his shell, he's charming, gentle and full of subtle affection - no drama, no chaos, just a cat who appreciates patience and good snacks. If you enjoy earning trust, celebrating small wins, and bonding over luxurious snacks, Scribble might just be your perfect match. Bonus points if you're willing to let him pretend he's not excited...even when he clearly is.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
