My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy's Story

Hi there! I’m Lucy, a 2-year-old Cattle Dog mix with a big heart, a bigger personality, and currently a little extra fluff (okay… about 60 lbs, but my dream weight is a svelte low-to-mid 50s). Don’t worry—I’m already working on it! I enjoy my walks (I’m great on leash!) and love staying active with my dog pals.

I’m the total package when it comes to house manners: housebroken, crate-trained, and an excellent house guest. I love people so much and am a true velcro dog—especially with my foster mom. If you’re sitting down, there’s a very good chance I’m sitting with you. Couch cuddles are my specialty, and I’m still amazed at how comfy they are.

I’ve met lots of dogs in my life and generally do well with them. I currently live with two! I do appreciate slow introductions though—I just like to make sure everyone’s cool and we’re all on the same page. I also love cats (yes, really!). I have to admit young kiddos make me a little nervous, so can we stick with the older versions?

My dream home? A fenced yard, a mildly active family, and people who are ready to give me the love and pampering I truly deserve. I’m happy to lounge, happy to walk, and happiest when I’m right by your side.

Oh—and one more thing. My foster mom calls me “Mayor Lucy” because sometimes I like to step outside and proudly announce my presence to the neighborhood. Community engagement is important, you know. 😉

I’m currently located in the tri-state area, and I’m ready to find my forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal snuggle buddy with a heart of gold and a dash of sass… I might just be your girl 💕🐶
