Orson" is an adult male kitty, estimated to be around 2-4 yrs old, who had suddenly showed up at a feral cat colony in November. He was cold, had fleas, an injured leg, and was starving - but he was VERY friendly, and clearly had been a pet kitty at some point! Unfortunately no one ever claimed this handsome boy!
Orson has been placed in a temporary foster home and has received medical care including his neuter surgery, vaccines, combo test, dewormers, and flea prevention. He appears to have had a prior hind leg injury that healed. He is currently enjoying sleeping in warm beds and doesn't mind the company of other adult foster cats.
Per the foster family: "Orson has been an extremely pleasant, clean litter box trained house guest! He even comes over when he is called for some pets (or food ;-), lounges on various pet beds, and has even gotten on my lap for a few more pets. He has shown his contentment at being comfy inside with purring, stretches, and occasional love nibbles. He is a food monger though, lol, (possibly behavioral as a result of lack of food for a while), so he will get into other kitties food if he doesn't have his own, and has gotten into open food containers left in room. Since occasionally his leg soreness may bother him we have been gentle when we have picked him up. He is such a cool cat- a furever family to love him and care for him would be so awesome! "
Because he may have occasional leg pain we are recommending a gentle home without small kids or other energetic pets. He is otherwise good with other cats and ignored a nearby old dog that ignored him. He loves checking out comfy places to hang out - we are hoping the new year will bring him a final furever comfy place!

More about this rescue
The Furry Paws Foster Inn is a very small based rescue.
We mainly help stray kittens get off the streets and into loving homes. Sometimes friendly adult cats and dogs do come through the inn looking for homes themselves.
There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We work diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.
To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered that comes through the inn. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care
