💙🌴Meet Nash, a “Sato dog” from Puerto Rico! A “Sato dog” refers to the mixed breed, stray dogs on the island. (Majority are small-medium size but some can be larger). Island dogs are smart, loyal, highly trainable, and thrive on routines and consistency. They have wonderful demeanors, make devoted companions, adjust well to their environments, and are a perfect mix of energetic and affectionate. There is no love like the love of an island dog.
Nash was found abandoned on a solitary road in Aguas Buenas, PR. He was originally part of a litter of five but two of their siblings didn’t make it.😔Nash is happy, playful, and full of love. He holds a gentle soul with a wonderful disposition and has an outgoing personality. Nash has been around dogs, cats, and kids, and we see no issues-with proper introduction/respect. When Nash arrives to PA, he will share his foster home with four dogs, (one being a Sato) two cats, and other foster dog friends. He will continue to learn all the ropes, day/night time routines, and be set up for success. Nash will continue to/need continued work on puppy-training concepts including: Basic leash training, potty, crate, socialization, etc. This sweet fella will make an amazing companion and we are excited to see his confidence continue to thrive. (Mom and Dad are unknown). Stay turned! 😊

We offer home visits if the pet is in foster care near the potential adopter. Some of our animals are still in Puerto Rico and can be flown stateside to potential adopters.

Paradise Rescue was established to address the pressing issue of stray animals in Puerto Rico, particularly in the northeast region. Recognizing that rescue efforts are more effective with a support network, we founded this organization to share our experiences and engage individuals interested in contributing through donations, fostering, or adoption. Over the years, we've accumulated an impressive portfolio of rescue success stories and assembled a dedicated team committed to improving the lives of our beloved "satos."
